2023 STATE REPRESENTATIVES
State Representatives fulfill an important role. Their main job is to be the liaison between their state’s Aberdeen breeders and WABA.
State Reps Description:
1. Represent WABA in a positive manner.
2. Welcome new WABA members in your state. Reach out to non WABA Aberdeen members and invite them to join WABA. Outreach could include AAA members, FFA leaders, 4H leaders etc.
3. Act as the liaison between your state’s Aberdeen breeders and the WABA BOD.
4. Keep members informed about Aberdeen events. Inform WABA about Aberdeen events going on within your state.
5. Contact members within your state to gather their input on what they would like to see happen within WABA.
6. Look for events that would benefit WABA to be present or involved.
7. Encourage members to promote Aberdeen cattle within their local jurisdiction. Ideas include initiating a ranch field day or displaying information at local fairs and or other livestock events.
